A fatality and injuries have been reported as rival rallies clash in Ukraine's port-city of Odessa. A pro-unity demonstration, which included nationalists and football fans, ran into a rally preaching greater autonomy for the regions.
Gunfire was heard in Odessa's downtown as two rival rallies met, police having failed to draw them apart. Over 2,000 protesters pelted each other with Molotov cocktails and smoke grenades. Pavements were dismantled to get the stones for the fight, like it was done in Kiev during the Maidan protests.
Fuckin' RT sources are on-par with ONN in this conflict.
As the fire brigade arrived at the scene, the driver was forced out of the vehicle by the enraged football fans and had to flee, as a live stream showed.

The “football fans” attacking anti-government activists in Odessa have also set the local House of Trade Unions building on fire. The radicals stormed and torched the building after learning that some anti-Maidan activists had barricaded themselves inside it.
"Football fans" attacking anti-government "activists"? Also not mentioning that your dear "activists" were the ones shooting and killing the "football fans"; just that someone had died. GJ, 10/10

God damn it, why did this have to happen in Odessa.
Now the place will become a warzone, and it's so close to the border
At least 38 anti-government activists died in fire at Odessa’s Trade Unions House after suffocating with smoke or jumping out of windows of the burning building, Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported. The building was set ablaze by the pro-Kiev radicals
It seems the dead were russians and some were from that shitty country that broke from Moldova, Pridnestrove.

These are only rumors. We'll get a confirmation soon enough if it's true though
So seperatists got it right back at them?
Good.

The whole point was to achieve a democratic and fair environment for everyone. Not for 40 people to die over this and countless others over the rest of the turmoil in Ukraine. Saying stupid shit like you just did is both insensitive and uncalled for.

Have you ever seen what the seperatists did to innocent people?
Besides, diplomacy didn't work against seperatists. People are not going to sit around and let seperatists beat and kill people in Eastern Ukraine

Fair trial, not death by suffocation.
Fair trial, not death by suffocation.
There is no fair trial in war.

Burning people alive is pretty war crime-ish
[editline]2nd May 2014[/editline]
They might be criminals and separatists, but there's a reason why molotov cocktails aren't used by actual militaries
so this is like that film, Battleship Potemkin? You know, being in Odessa and all...
There was a livestream of the demonstration taking place live, not it's just a news reporting on it. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/new-odessa
Holy shit, there's fucking dinosaurs invading Ukraine!

Actual militaries use white phosphorus, which is much more horrifying. If you ever seen the aftermath of a "shake and bake" you'll think Molotov's were a zippo
Isnt white phosphorus banned for use by just about every War-rights council / law?
Its horrific stuff I know. But there's little reason to suggest a military would use it, since it would likely cause an overwhelming amount bad PR and media coverage for their side.
