Sometimes when i'm board I like to go on some Garry's Mod server and play music threw my mic with foobar and VAC. People tell me the bass is to heavy and sounds like diarrhea. Any way to control this with a mod of some sort?
You need to manually edit the music to remove/lower the bass to make it sound good. (either realtime or in a software like audacity)
The voip wasn't meant for music so it's not going to sound good without modifying the sounds you're playing first.
In Windows 7 there is a build in sound enhancer in the sound control panel, for each output device separately. You should check if bass enhancements are turned on, or you can use the settings to lower the bass.
It takes a lot of tweaking to make a song sound better over voip. It's even harder now that you can't input a 11khz wav directly.
