Not sure if I'd personally refer to myself as republican, but whatever: The implementation of ACA is total bullshit.
Either do nationalized single payer or don't, but don't fuck with insurance companies and force people to pay for a third party service they may or may not be able to afford.
The ACA did absolutely nothing to make healthcare more "affordable", all it did was force people who already pay too much for their own healthcare, to pay even more out of pocket for everyone else's as well.
Honestly I think it was designed to be garbage so that single payer would be more palatable because at this point just about anything is better than the current system for most working Americans.

I agree with you on implementing a single payer system, and yes, the premiums were not affordable in a good amount of cases.
My main problem is that they're repealing it with NO replacement simply to say "we repealed Obamacare", while being okay with 20 million people losing insurance.

Went in as single payer, was butchered by partisan politics, became a Frankenstein of its former self, mixing private insurance with a "affordable" option. Regardless, it gave millions insurance they wouldn't have received otherwise.

Provides affordable healthcare for everyone

Well as previously pointed out, Obamacare was a half-measure that has truly failed. With even Bill Clinton (who I critique alot, but is the smartest guy on the democrat side) calling it "the craziest thing in the world".
It should be repealed no matter what, but I am also looking for more specifics on what will replace it.
Ofcourse, I am more optimistic than most here, but I don't think they are just going to repeal this with no actual plans.
