My god at least throw in a picture of Aiden Pearce with the facemask or something. Why?! Edit Nevermind, they actually fixed it. Wow, really. Its like im some sort of psychic transmitting my thoughts to the author.

remember the good old days where people made a game and sold it rather than it, and enough dlc to make up another game distributed between a bunch of different editions and stores

The missing cap and the minimap are a dead giveaway in retrospect, but I've only just had breakfast. Sorry, everyone.
10 goddamn dlcs planned before release are you kidding me
10 goddamn dlcs planned before release are you kidding me
My God, i swear DLC used to be convenient and great but now its just another way of fleecing the consumer in places.
Again one of those games that is better to wait until they release Game of the Year edition or something.
There used to be a time where every piece of extra content had its own section on the wiki. Now they have to compile it into a fucking chart.
Suck the shit straight from my rectum.
Am I the only one who dislikes when games give you certain special power ups and weapons for just preordering? Like It turns me off of preordering a game no matter how much I want it because this shit seriously ruins your fun when they hand you a goddamn shotgun you shouldn't have at the very start.
Did you pick this off NeoGaf or something
What is horrible is all these exclusive deals with resellers. I couldn't decipher that graph but there are times where I just want to be able to ask "WHICH VERSION HAS EVERYTHING."
Vigilante Edition- Aiden Pearce's iconic cap
Iconic? It hasn't even been fucking released yet.
That fucking spreadsheet is like some shit you see as an accountant or something So many DLC and the game isn't even out yet [editline]13th May 2014[/editline] Also I love how the Dedsec Pack isn't included in the fucking Dedsec EDITION.
Yeah that's another thing, according to that graph, there isn't a version that includes everything, so if you do want all that shit you'll have to buy the game three times. If you want everything you'll have to buy the Gold, Dedsec and Vigilante editions of the game. Oh no wait, make that four times, you also have to add in the Uplay edition since all other editions have shit that's Playstation only(are you fucking serious).

Good thing the game has a crappy optimization so I can't run it anyway.

I couldn't decipher that graph but there are times where I just want to be able to ask "WHICH VERSION HAS EVERYTHING."
That annoys me much more than some small DLC that has new weapon skins, I can always choose not to get the weapon DLC, but when DLC is tied to a store that's in another country then I don't have any choice over it, I just have to hope they eventually release it. Then again, I don't give a crap about non-essential items as DLC, as long as they don't cut stuff from the base game then go for it (And stuff like new weapon models are exactly the type of things that should be day one DLC, since they don't impact dev time, instead of new missions or such)
"Additional Content" Shouldn't be allowed to be phrased like that. It's cut content, and the mark of a shitty business practice. And this type is the laziest form. Oh a white hat? You take the textures for the hat already finished, open it up in photoshop, then adjust the saturation, brightness and contrast, and then save it. Make it part of a more expensive bundle as if it's actually worth anything
I got the Digital Deluxe Edition (which has all of the retail pre-order stuff) off of GMG for less than the price of buying the standalone game, so its not that bad. There are so many ways to get cheaper deals for games now-a-days that these retail handjob DLCs only "inconvenience" people who pre-ordered a physical copy or didn't keep an eye out for all the online deals. With that said, its definitely a rip off that the people who buy the $130 limited/dedsec editions don't get all of the pre-order stuff and the season pass with their purchase.
The only reason I'd switch preorders is to get physical merchandise. Frankly the whole "extra gear on start" is super unbalanced
The only reason I'd switch preorders is to get physical merchandise. Frankly the whole "extra gear on start" is super unbalanced
I'm kinda stuck on whether to get the Vigilante or Dedsec version :(

I'm pretty sure the recent extreme rise of pre-order bullshit is the fault of retailers trying to try to give people a reason to go and use their store. Remember how Metro Last Light were forced to put in pre-order bonuses if they wanted to be sold by retailers?
My God, i swear DLC used to be convenient and great but now its just another way of fleecing the consumer in places.
DLC used to be great when it was called datadisc or expansion pack

Buying DLC before its even out! Love it!
And then comes the part where someone cracks every DLC a week after release because it is so stupid. I swear, day one DLC actually encourages piracy.
Oh wow this is just a whole load of shit. 10 different DLC packs, having to buy the game three times if you want everything, and if I'm reading this table right, Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners are literally unable to get the White Hat Pack at all. It looks like a pretty cool game, but with all this crap, they're doing I think I might just rent it when it comes out, then buy the eventual GOTY/Complete edition when it goes on sale on Steam.
