Help making shortcut/file names fade until I mouse over?

okay, I am redesigning my desktop with a new back ground and icons, but I feel like the file names are ruining what I am trying to do.

Is there a way to make the file names fade until you mouse over them? Here is a screenshot of my desktop so you can see what I mean

There may be a software, but I don't believe there are any pre-installed display styles like that on any windows software's.

That's clever, but to my knowledge of windows; it doesn't give you options to change that.

And i doubt any software would be able to alter how exporer.exe renders the desktop.

i guess i could change all the shortcut names but that would make finding stuff harder
