Found a Gun - General - Facepunch Forum

Hey I found a gun in my grandmas attic... It was probably owned by my dads brother. I dont know what kind of gun it is...maybe airsoft... don't even know what that means lol :D Now this is a pic: [IMG]https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KKmIxCr5jC4/UEtpvuHK_GI/AAAAAAAADEU/jLeCuxXfYBg/s800/[UNSET].jpg[/IMG] Tell me how to use it! :D I also found 6mm bullets in a box on which it says: Neoksid blank cartridges. 6mm is also written on the gun so they are probably the ones. Now I have no idea how to insert them... And since this is probably a 20year old gun it might fall apart when I pull the trigger, and a big piece of metal will enter my skull and kill me. No I can't show it to my dad because he will say its dangerous and take it away probably. If you are willing to help I can make more detailed pics. Thanks :D

Go to the Firearms Thread in the General Discussion section. That is most definitely not an airsoft gun, and I'd recommend not fucking with it until you figure out what it is. Sound's like it shoots blanks, could be a race starting pistol like used in track and field events. Blanks are still deadly at close range, treat it like it shoots real bullets and treat it like it is loaded.

I've seen this gun before, blank firer. I thought the bullets were barrel loaded like a musket, but I may be wrong

It's not an airsoft gun or a firearm, it's a starter gun. I had one of these myself. Useful for making noise, they also have treaded barrel for screwing on a special flare adapter for some more fun. It uses a magazine which looks like a block with holes drilled in it, you have to put the blank cartridges into them and insert the entire block in the square hole under the muzzle. With each pull of the trigger, the block moves backwards. After firing the last blank, it'll come out of the back, you might've noticed there's a hatch-like thing there. These things are rock solid, they will not fall apart. My guess is that the magazine is already inside, you might wanna pull the trigger a few times to see if it comes out. Open that hatch on the rear to see if it's there, if you can't see through to the other end, that's it. But be careful, it may be loaded, so better take it somewhere desolate with no people around. Yea its in there... im gonna go out somewhere safe and try it out. But I dont have that cap on the end of the gun... So is it worth anything? its from 1975. If I dont reply anymore in this thread the gun killed me or the cops arrested me :D

It doesn't seem to be in a very good shape, these things may be worth about 30-40 bucks new, maybe someone would give more if they find any collector's value in it. Remember, this ain't no toy. Don't point it at anyone. You might wanna check out its legality in your country. [editline]wa[/editline] And you mentioned that you don't know what an airsoft gun is - it's a replica gun that uses compressed air or gas to shoot usually 6 mm plastic BB's, harmless if used with caution and with proper safety equipment. An alternative to paintball, but the ammo is much cheaper, the weapons look 100% realistic and is not messy like paintball.

Oh thanks for the info about airsoft :) I don't think its legal so we're gonna try it out somewhere safe and away from civilization. I just have to try it out...

No no...I'm still alive... So I called my friends to see it... first we had a big laugh from the size of it. And then my friend said those bullets have already been used... -.- Bu one of them has 6mm bullets so i'll try it out next time :)

no I don't... how the heck should I know :D They all laughed at me when I brought the used bullets :( im probably going to start with some kind of shooting hobby cuz I like guns :D

Do NOT do anything stupid with this. You can't refill the "shells" in any way, they're like only primers, maybe with very small powder load. You sound pretty immature, even if you are 18. Best if you leave the gun where you found it and pretend you haven't ever seen it.

You have found a dangerous item that needs looking after with care. They are only trying to help you so you don't injure or kill yourself. -- Oh and sorry don't want to sound like a dick but you say you want to take up shooting as a hobby and you don't seem to know anything about guns. Hell you are the first person I have come across that does not know what airsoft is. Personally you don't seem like the type of person that should have a gun in his hands.
