Hey, Im thinking about buying these RAM sticks for my i5 (which needs a voltage of 1.65 or lower); Corsair XMS3 - 4 GB ( 2 x 2 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 1600 MHz / PC3-12800 - CL9 - 1.65 V What i'm kind of worried about is the latency, its pretty high. Will this be issue which leads to a slow computer? Te shop also got a CL8 of the same model, but its 45$ more exspensive, is it worth it? DONT reccomend me g.skill (they dont sell them here) or post newegg links (im not from the US)
The i5/i7 certifited thing is a gimmick, as long the voltage is between 1.65 and 1.5v its okay. I rite? [editline]09:54PM[/editline] Can someone confirm this?
4GB memory kit (2 x 2GB) for use with Dual Channel DDR3 Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors
It should work out fine. Generally using lower voltages causes more problems than higher ones...

The whole XMP thingy then? Is it suposed to automaticly overclock, like intel's Turbo Boost function? Or is it manually? Is it worth it?
CL9 is pretty standard for DDR3. You aren't going to notice a big difference in speed between CL9 and CL8, so it's not worth the extra $45. XMP is a gimmick also.
XMP isn't bad, I use it cause it sets my RAM timings to whatever it thinks my RAM is (and it usually works)
