Hey, DD.
The last couple of times I've been high I've been getting this really high pitched ringing noise in my ears that fades in and out.
Weird thing is, I only get it when I think about it. It tends to go away when I do something that takes my mind off it, but then after a while I remember that I can't hear it anymore and it comes back.
I've been looking up Tinnitus, the whole "ear-ringing symptom" thing and most people say that Marijuana either worsens or makes the ringing better. I don't actually get it when I'm not high though. Granted, I have been listening to moderately loud music through headphones for most of my life and going to concerts and shit.
It started a couple of weeks ago and I've been high three times since, (not enough, I know,) and it's really unpleasant. Started when I was laying on my bed and I felt like this ad.
5 chewing gum ad with balls everywhere. :|
Then it started getting a little too heavy so I decided to get off my bed and go for a walk, but it didn't stop. Only eased off when I fell asleep. As I said earlier, when I distract myself and stop thinking about it, it completely goes away.
Every time I've been high since though, it comes back. Only goes away when I'm coming down.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone has any advice. It's really killing my high. :(
I have this permenantly and there's no real known cause nor method of prevention. It could be compeltely unrelated to drug use and just becomes worse during.
Not much else I can say really, nothing can be done about it expect therapy to help you deal with having it.
i used to worry about shit like this.
well, mainly a constant ringing in my ear and lots of floaters in my field of vision.
then i did drugs. now i don't give a fuck about any of it anymore

Stop thinking about it.
I have this when i'm not smoking but sometimes it can get more prominent when i'm high (depending on the bud). Sometimes smoking messes with my blood pressure and circulation too and I can get really light headed which also does some weird stuff to my ear pressure but it's nothing to worry about I assume, I normally have slightly low blood pressure anyway.
Sometimes if I blow while holding my nose with my eyes and mouth shut it can effect it, give that a go next time. If you're having trouble sleeping try putting a fan or something which emits a quiet, soft noise to avoid complete silence, I find that quite soothing as it gives me something to concentrate on while I sleep
I've had tinnitus my whole life.
I hate it.

it absolutely fucking sucks knowing that there will never be a single moment in your life of complete silence.
i just hope we find a cure soon because goddamn, it's annoying as shit.
your ear gives a high pitch ring when a ear hair dies, i don't want to scare you so i don't know if they are actually 'dying', but if they are, you can potentially go deaf, get it checked out.
even though if you're like me no matter what people so you won't go to a doctor.
its probably best explained as a hallucination created somewhere in the temporal lobe. Drugs would extenuate the hallucination.

Yea I used to be like that then I got used to it. It doesnt even bother me anymore.
I've lowered my caffeine content to see if that helps.
Another thing I've thought it might be is ear wax. I know you guys probably don't want to know this, but there's so much shit in my ears all the time it's not funny, hah.
I'll clean them out thoroughly next time I get some bud, and see what happens.

Blocked ears could actually well be a cause, I think you can get them cleaned properly by a doctor or something too
I heard this weird ringing/static in my ears for my whole life. It isn't that loud tho, but i still can hear it (unless i listen to something loud(er)). Could it be tinnitus?
EDIT: Also i can 'feel' my heartbeat in my head/ears usually, sometimes just stops.

I think I might go to a doctor to get them cleaned, man. Just to see if it happens again next time. I'll take precautions like cleaning and lower caffeine content but if it's still bad next time I'm up in the clouds it might only be a mental thing, as I said it stops when I don't think about it.
It feels way to strong to only be a mental thing though.
We'll see.
Also, Amic, it does sound like Tinnitus man. :( don't be too worried though, do some research. It's actually quite common which is surprising.
I'm pretty sure I've got it. I just need it to stop killing my high, aha.
Try shooting Coke, talk about fucking ear ringing...
lol, nitrous.
metallic tinnitus
Fuck yes. Smoked a couple of cones last night and no ear-ringing. I cleaned out my ears beforehand so I think that's what made the difference. I actually did get it for about 20 minutes after my 3rd cone but then I had another one and it went away, hahaha.
So glad, I had such a good night.
Personally I never cared, I ignored that weird ringing. Whenever I'm a bit off it, I get it too. It's an odd one. Would suck having it permanently. Get it when I'm drunk, too. I guess it's best to just try to ignore it; put some music on or something ;)
I think that when I get high, my senses of hearing get heightened to the point where I am able to hear my own heart beat from the blood rushing through my head.
My music teacher told me that even if you are in a soundproof room, you will hear two things,
1. A high ringing, which is because your brain is not used to hearing nothing and so it makes up for it, or it's like the electricity in your brain or some shit
2. A low sound, which is the blood rushing through your head.
