• Friend wants to upgrade his pc

I'm on mobile currently so it's hard to tag images, but here are his specs. http://prntscr.com/5o9srg He specifically wants a 970 and wants to know if he has to upgrade anything for it to run smooth. His budget (-card) is £290.
Most games (which are GPU-heavy) will see a fairly significant framerate / quality improvement, but the rest of the computer is getting pretty out-of-date so don't be surprised if more CPU-or-storage-heavy games don't bump up too far. Check the power supply to see if it's from a reputable brand and could support a 970. I believe they take 1 8-pin PCIE and 1 6-pin PCIE for power, and you'd want a reputably-branded PSU of >500W.

I'll just tell him to just save up.
