So I get a new SSD today and I want to keep it very clean since it's only 64GB'S. I got a second harddrive which is 2TB and knowing that programs put all the trash in the documents of my windows account I want to know if it's possible to put my Windows account on the second HDD. So that would be the C:\Users thing. Would this be possible? [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] I just found out it's called Libraries, so technically how do i move the Libraries from my user account to a different drive and would it also be possible to move the .temp folder to a different drive?
As you are on Win7, you can just go to Libraries -> Pictures / whatever and Includes X locations. Click on it and press ADD. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] And 64GB is not that small amount IMO. I have a 700GB HDD, one partion is 32GB. I have not ran totally out of space yet.
You might want to look into using symbolic links, basically linking a folder to another drive while making the OS think it is still in the right spot. Give this a read, utilizing symlinks can really help you maximize space on your SSD. [url]http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/[/url]
