Need a 1920x1080 monitor that I can hook HDMI or RCA up to and play console games

I'm gonna buy a new monitor so I won't need to buy a HD TV as well, can't find any with this "feature" but I know it exists so I need some help. Thanks in advance
ASUS is a good brand for monitors, no dead pixels, everything wrapped nicely, and has lasted a long, long time.
The Gateway FHD2400 has a shit ton of connectors.
Old thread, New bump!
I bought the ASUS V222H. It is on its way!
I'm not really familiar with refresh rates. But will a 50~75 (vertical) refresh rate affect any way negitvely?
I plan on playing games. PC, and PS3.

It works with HDCP and HDMI so I'm cool.
a 50Hz refresh rate (what it will be for 1920x1080, i assume, as usually the lowest listed refresh rate is for the native and highest supported resolution.) isn't fantastic but for movies and most new games you shouldn't notice a difference. just keep VSync on for PC games
Oh god how do you know where I live?!
What?

what the fuck are you talking about
It was just weird how you found this thread when I was simtaneously talking about it withyou in the PSN thread. I just assume you know where I live now.
You crazy.
i just saw it mentioned in the main index as a LAST POST LOL and clicked it because i happen to know about this kind of stuff
Hmm... I bet you did.
But anyway. The only thing weird about the monitor is it's price. Why o
is it so cheap?
Don't go for a 16:9 like 1920x1080. Get 1920x1200, since 16:10 is superior in every way.

Mind telling us why 1920x1200 is "Superior" in every way?

Because you get tiny vertical height with 16:9. Any mentally competent person would be able to figure this out. Congratulations, you're mentally incompetent :downs:

You did read that he wants a monitor with a HDMI output right? You do need a HD resolution for that.

Hardly. I find it funny to argue with uninformed nerds such as yourself.

and from 9 to 10 there isn't much of a change
anyways, you need an hd resolution for an hdmi output to work

Good luck finding a 1920x1200 monitor for under $200.

Okay my posts are invalid really, as HDMI outputs can exist on 1920x1200 monitors too it seems.
