They're going to have 6 voice actors for the protagonist, and the only responses you'll ever be able to give will be "Yes", "No", and "Sarcastic".
Please a new combat system, not the same boring shit.

More like "Yes", "No", "No (Yes)" "Sarcastic (Yes)"

Followed by announcing 10 downloadable content packs from which 8 are content packs to furniture your house while 2 actually add story/missions.
Make the combat system closer to Chivalry and I'm in. Hell I'm probably in anyway but that would be the icing on the cake.
The game literally needs a new combat system or it isn't going to appeal the fanbase as much. Smashing the right and left click is not fun.

It's an RPG. Not that I wouldn't mind better combat, but it'll do fine without it.
I'm expecting something similar to FO4's melee combat but more fleshed out, which is alright.
I just hope they have better magic combat. Khajiit wants to be viable mage...
I'm oddly excited at the prospect. Skyrim didn't quite have the excitment I was hoping it would, but the hope that maybe this will be something special makes me happy to see what they come up with.

As long as they go to back to dialogue boxes I'll be happy
Just make controls responsive (might be asking a little much i know) and let modders figure out the stats tbh
I do not trust Beth to make fair, fun, and challenging combat
New engine or bust.
Kind of sick of playing reskinned Oblivion and a reskinned Skyrim and a reskinned Fallout 4.
I really hope they don't go the fallout route and remove almost all of the rpg elements out of the game, but this is Bethesda we're talking about.
I want it to be good but I will probably be even more disappointed than I was by Fallout 4.
after seeing how fallout 4 turned out i don't think I will be buying this either

Assuming they will develop it completely on Scorpion and Neo i hope for some sweet graphics
New game engine, new combat system, a more character-focused story and I'm all on board.
From a story perspective, I really hope it expands on the Thalmor Elf Nazis and their plot to rid the world of men (Valenwood and/or Summerset Isle if not all of Tamriel, please)
Elder Scrolls VI: Dominion. Yea?
Not sure if I should be cautiously interested or just not care at all after the shambles of Fallout 4.
Continue on the trend of adding in popular modded features from older titles into the base game, make Frostfall/Needs & Diseases esque stuff in the base survival mode.
Do that for Fallout, for that matter.

RPG combat doesn't have to equal shit combat
See: Witcher 3 (hell 2 even), Dark Souls Series, Dying Light, and to really stretch it here, let's also add Dishonored, Bastion and Transistor, Borderlands, and like a bajillion other games
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T ATTACH THE PHYSICS ENGINE TO THE FUCKING FRAME RATE, I'D LIKE TO USE MY 144 HZ MONITOR.
Thank you.

It's bethesda. They didn't learn from Oblivion, Skyrim, and they only "fixed" it with FO4.
With FO4, instead it's tied to the VSYNC, so if you play in windowed mode, it goes back to 60! :hurr:

Replace Emil Pagliarulo with a real writer who knows how to write half decent dialogue and plotlines and I'm all on board.

Leveling the Aldmeri Dominion would be amazing.

They definitely didn't fix it in FO4, however it was partially fixed in New Vegas, but was then removed from newer games for some reason.
New Vegas fixed it by updating physics objects at a maximum of 60 times a second, so if you're running a 144 hz monitor, everything will be smooth except for physics objects which will look choppy.
It is just going to be a updated version of gamebryo.
I can't really expect them to have a new fully fledged engine right after having released Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered. I just don't believe the team would have had time to work on NEW engine.

Or even join then. :ohno:

This might not be a popular opinion but I've enjoyed the combat system in each elder scrolls game more than the last, and I'm excited to see what they put out next. Skyrim's combat might not have had a huge amount of depth but the animations were pretty reasonable aside from the lack of any reaction to rapid dagger slashes, and you could have a pretty extreme impact on combat by ducking behind trees, backstepping, blocking at the right time, etc. I'd prefer more active dodging and control over your weapon though, and more variety brought back into spells. My biggest grudge period for skyrim was that magic was basically nerfed into uselessness because it didn't scale at all while the melee weapons would become impossibly broken by comparison due to smithing+enchanting.
You're right, it's an "unpopular" opinion because even warframe has more in depth combat than skyrim and witcher has pretty handily defenestrated the "rpg combat has to be simple cause people who play rpg are retards" argument even on the action side.
No one is asking for ffXIV clickclicklcickclackaltclackclickclick.
People are asking for something like Dragon's Dogma, some technique, some depth, and lots of variety. All of those are well within bethesda's reach, and last I recall you were the guy trying along with ganerum to say stealth+archery wasn't op in skyrim, which is hilarious, because in any world except God of War 750% percent damage within 15 levels is slightly OP.
Magic combat in Skyrim is an absolute joke besides. It's the one area the Beth has made almost no progress in, while the rest of the world has quite literally moved on to depth and variety based gameplay, even fetish games like Monster Hunter.
