• Missing Operating System

So today, I tried to install Windows 7 on my EEE PC 1005ha. The installation completed, but I noticed that the computer was stuck at the Windows loading screen. So I just thought it was a corrupt install, and tried to reinstall. However, it kept getting stuck at the same loading screen over and over again, so I gave up and tried to install XP again with the recovery disc. But when I tried to install XP, the setup gave me a message saying something like it cannot find a directory or something. So I cancelled the install, and rebooted the computer. Now, the computer says on boot, "Missing operating system". I tried to boot with both Windows 7 DVD and the recovery disc, and neither seemed to work. I also cannot seem to get into BIOS; as soon as I press the power button, it displays "Missing operating system" right away. Did anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it? Yes, I did look it up on google.
