I'm not going to pay Bethesda for games that came out more than 20 years ago, published and developed by different companies. Fuck off, they should be abandonware or even public domain at this point.

"It's only bad when Bethesda does it!"
Why don't they have Terminator: Future Shock, the shooter that Bethesda actually made?
Because Bethesda probably doesn't have the Terminator license anymore, and it's not really an in-vogue IP to be worth re-acquiring the license to.
I don't see Fallout 4 on there?
rtcw is really good and I recommend everyone to pick it up if they havent already
I don't see Fallout 4 on there?
Because Fallout 4 was already dated when it launched.

You realize every game in the sale is dated right

A bunch of classic games updated for modern PCs sold DRM-free on a consumer-friendly platform for a penny and a dime and yet you're complaining
If you want to bitch and moan about a publisher being horribly unreasonable with their IPs and their sale, go yell at Activision.

You have "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream", "Quake", "Grand Theft Auto 1", "Shadow Warrior Classic Redux", "Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition" on your account
should those be abandon-ware as well? They're all very old games you know, some are nearing being 20 years old.
I hope you got all 4 of those for free otherwise you paid for "abandon-ware".

Yeah. It was just a poorly thought out joke about how Fallout 4 isn't exactly a "timeless" shooter - because it's not even a good game.

i loved it, had many hours of fun but fuck me does it have issues
its pretty far from timelesa that is for sure
To think that this pack is £52.23 ($67.36) when not on sale.
Just let that sink in
This is the best moment to grab these as they are pretty much surperior than any other digital store offers for several reasons:
1. Quake The Offering and Quake 2 Quad Damage, besides having expansions included (The Quake 2 one has a Netpack which only GOG has it) they also has a soundtrack included with some notes:
a) Quake 1 has em as a disk image which can be either burned to the CD or rip em off, be aware that there is an issue regarding the timing which can be fixed by replacing CUE files with this patch. This happens only for Quake 1 and Dissolution of Eternity
b) Each disk image is separate for each Quake 1 game:
game - Main Quake 1 disk
gamea - Scourge of Armagon disk
gamed - Dissolution of Eternity disk
c) Quake 2 offers a soundtrack in OGG format and are played via modified Winmm, however it won't loop once the soundtrack ends. Can be fixed with either the unofficial 3.24 patch or just use the source port. All the soundtrack from Quake 2 and it's expansions are in the music folder.
2. Doom 2 + Final Doom pack also includes Master Levels for Doom 2, on Steam this is available only if you pick a Doom bundle.
3. GOG version of Final Doom - TNT has it's missing yellow key fixed in secret Pharaoh level compared to Steam version.
4. Quake 2 has a launcher created by GOG themselves and it's customizeable in terms of adding another mod to it, use different executables and a support for the command options this can be done by editing the Q2Launcher.ini.
5. The GOG Version of GLQuake is the original 0.97 one.
If you are thinking about getting the Steam version, forget about it and grab these instead.

Some of those games should be public domain yes. It's the same issue that we have with movies and music these days, you can claim copyright of your material and some company can buy all the rights and live off of those rights for decades after you're already dead.
That's really my gripe, it has nothing to do with Bethesda.
i cant believe i live in a world where someone is complaning about RTCW being a buck and a half. that games literally worth 20 bucks nowadays tbh
