• Stupid IE10 update fucking up my laptop
    2 replies, posted
Every time I try to install this thing, I get an error (9C59) so I end up unchecking it as I don't deem it an important update (unless someone can tell me otherwise) but it likes to check itself and somehow wake my laptop up from sleep, because I don't feel like waiting for the laptop to "configure updates" everytime I want to shut it down. Should I try to fix it or just download the IE10 blocker?
You can right click the update to hide it completely, simply unchecking it will just make it not install it when you manually update the one time.
It would be an idea to update IE10. Some applications rely on the IE libraries to function and you may encounter issues if you don't fully update it. Only type of solution I've found is here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-e-g-Windows-8-and-Software/windows-7-x-64-cannot-install-ie-10-error-code-9c59-making/td-p/2510139/page/2
