Capcom has references/crossover stuff in a lot of their games. Ryu and Megaman show up a lot because they're the most well known.

This is nothing new for the Monster Hunter games
Hell, Peace walker had a monster hunter level and it wasn't even made by capcom. Its pretty cool to see references to other games in games.
