Oh man, Dune is such an amazing universe. I wish more games would adapt the setting.
Emperor: Battle for Dune was just an underrated gem by Westwood.

I heard about Dune and I maybe considered trying some games inspired by it but I wasn't really sure what the whole thing was about.
Some weeks ago I kinda had this thought about reading some books to help my sleep a little bit and my parents just happened to buy the Dune novel years ago and I just randomly found it in a pile. :v:
Also found some other titles but I'll leave them for later, either way it's the first book I'm actually reading in my own language instead of just killing myself over schoolwork, I hated having to read like 20 books, memorizing all of them (it was mandatory) just to write up some stupid ass two to three page essay (which you also had to memorize, there was simply no other way, Romanian schools suck ass) to get a decent grade. It honestly ruined any interest I had in reading almost completely.
I'm still early into the book but seeing as I don't read books often I have no idea if the writing is good or bad and I just kinda read along even if I don't really understand a lot of things or words. I'm just letting myself get immersed into it.

I never actually read the books myself but I am fairly familiar with the setting itself. I think one could perhaps consider Dune as a sorts of Game of Thrones I guess.
