Rather annoying that the 2 most widely-used Internet content plugins, namely Java and Flash, are about as secure as a soggy breadstick prison.
Rather annoying that the 2 most widely-used Internet content plugins, namely Java and Flash, are about as secure as a soggy breadstick prison.
They are really insecure because it's used so much. Same thing happens with Windows and Mac.
People still use flash?
Well, yeah. It's Flash.
I'm sorry but do we really need a thread about a Flash update?
I'm sorry but do we really need a thread about a minor Flash update?
it's not a minor update
it's not a minor update
Well then, a Flash update. Does this mean we should make threads about Chrome, Java, and Firefox updates or
I'm sorry but do we really need a thread about a Flash update?
this just isn't just any update. this is an all platform emergency update. kinda big.
Well then, a Flash update. Does this mean we should make threads about Chrome, Java, and Firefox updates or
Well hey let's just not inform everyone that the newest version of Flash has a huge security hole and Adobe's working on a fix, nope.
This sorta thing happens all the time with basically any and every application But this isn't my place to discuss it, and its kinda off-topic so I'll leave it alone with that Just saying
Flash Player installed with Google Chrome will automatically be updated to the latest Google Chrome version
Aww hell yeah. EDIT: I'm still gonna install the latest version for Steam
This sorta thing happens all the time with basically any and every application
Whats your problem? Hahah It's relevant because even the ads here in Facepunch sometimes feature flash. Why not warn people with a simple thread?
Rather annoying that the 2 most widely-used Internet content plugins, namely Java and Flash, are about as secure as a soggy breadstick prison.
Their wide usage is probably one of the reasons this happens though. They may have just as few bugs and weaknesses as any software, but the sheer amount of collective effort spent on attempting to exploit Java and Flash probably exceeds any other.
I think chrome automatically updated it for me..
I'm sorry but do we really need a thread about a Flash update?
Yeah, lets get rid of the steam bot in the news node cause who needs to know about updates!
Whats your problem? Hahah It's relevant because even the ads here in Facepunch sometimes feature flash. Why not warn people with a simple thread?
Facepunch has ads?
Facepunch has ads?
If you're logged out you get ads
Did they fix the horribly putrid bloating? Ah no, it's not a bug, it's a feature.
I think chrome automatically updated it for me..
Chrome updates its own plugin automatically, but if you use Steam, you need to update the "other browsers" plugin manually.
I aint never going to update my flash player from good old flashplayer 10.1r53.
Jesus can we please start banning people for blatantly refusing to read the OP.
it actually is bannable
