I wonder when their next game will come out
Call of Duty 2016 confirmed in development at Infinity Ward
Oh boy, this one's going to be a baad one.
Is the official name Call of Duty 2016? Or is that just, y'know, "hey its a call of duty game releasing in 2016"?
Is the official name Call of Duty 2016? Or is that just, y'know, "hey its a call of duty game releasing in 2016"?
It means it's the 2016th sequel.
I see we're getting another Dog.
It means it's the 2016th sequel.
Wouldn't it be the 2015th sequel since Call of Duty 1 wasn't the 1st sequel? :v:
I'm wondering what it'll be about. While Ghosts really wasn't the best game I wouldn't mind a sequel so they could build on the last game's cliffhanger. If not, a return to the Rangers after Modern Warfare 2 or a new theatre would be nice.
Oh boy, this one's going to be a baad one.
It's really sad that before post-MW2 fiasco they were considered the kings of Cod Franchise, whereas 3arc were underdogs. Lifecycle of COD Franchise is very ironic.
Oh boy, this one's going to be a baad one.
Unless they pull their finger out and get on the level of Sledgehammer and Treyarch. 3 years to work and reflect will hopefully have curbed their arrogance and they'll have something at least moderately interesting. Hell, maybe they'll be doing the World War 2 return that I've heard people clamouring for?
Why don't they release a Call of Duty: Global offensive at a $15 price-point and focus on competitive play. I'd certainly buy it, $60 CoD games sell like shit on steam
Oh boy, this one's going to be a baad one.
Ghosts was a trainwreck but there are some excuses for it. The two big ones off the top of my head were development problems of creating 5 versions of the game with the old gen versions, the PC, and the new gen versions without having access to the hardware of next gen consoles. Apparently they had to just guess at how much RAM they were allowed to work with. The second big thing was the legal dispute with Respawn who themselves had to sacrifice the singleplayer campaign of Titanfall because the dispute took up too much of the lead developers time. I'm nowhere near feeling optimistic about CoD 2016 but I wouldn't necessarily count it out quite yet either.
ghosts had decent gameplay, despite it being a fusion of multiple FPS games. that's it, the story had some interesting concepts but was ass, and the only good level was that train level (made by raven software).
(made by raven software).
How the mighty have fallen. I wish they could return to their roots and make a new Hexen.
the game's pretty competitive already at least BLOPS2 was
Black Ops 3 has been pretty successful on the e-sports front. It has several good teams playing and regularly draws tens of thousands of spectators for the main games on Twitch. I actually saw it overtake Dota 2 one evening.

The point is Call of Duty has never had that many viewers, especially for a competitive game.
This just in: CoD 2016 coming in 2016. Half of humanity died from the sheer shock.
i haven't bought or played a call of duty game since black ops 2.
How the mighty have fallen. Although a bunch of them went on to form Human Head Studios, which went on to make games like Rune and Prey, as well as lending a hand in the development of BioShock Infinite and the Defiance MMO (and Batman: Arkham Oranges). Though either way, I dunno if either of these two "branches", namely modern-day Raven proper or Human Head, will be the ones to make a new Hexen. Though we might get something like it from different development houses, like if Techland brings Hellraid out of its development hiatus.
The main thing that has me interested in BLOPS3 are the maps. They looks really cool and varied, hell, I think they even released a water park level recently that's really colorful and pretty.
Gameplay of Ghosts 2 is just buttonmashing F to resist torture.
if Techland brings Hellraid out of its development hiatus.
i eagerly await this day
i haven't bought or played a call of duty game since black ops 2.
That's only been like two so that's not saying much.
It could either be really good with the extra development time they got, or they could continue to be the CoD dev I make fun of consistently.
That's only been like two so that's not saying much.
3 games actually. Plus I didn't get modern warfare 3 either

The story in MW2 was garbage and the multiplayer was unbalanced as fuck, it also had shit maps.
