• Some OEM confusion

I've been thinking about upgrading my Xp to 7, and I've been looking around online for an OS package to order. I have done research on OEM after finding this : http://www.discountmountainsoftware.com/miwi7prfuveo5.html but I don't exactly get it. To cut to the chase, I'd like to know what I'm getting with this package, because it seems relatively cheap.
Generally OS OEM packages just come in the box that is directly from Microsoft, not any of those companies like Dell that has their own version with pre-installed utilities, etc. You will most likely get a Installation CD, A CD Key, and maybe little guides, tipes, etc. Also when it's cheap I would watch out, your possibly purchasing Counterfeit copies and will usually leave you with an unworking CD key, leaving your OS not genuine and possibly a virus or spyware. No matter how much they say they are legit or with Microsoft, don't do it regardless. Follow the trusted sources like Newegg, and Microsoft site. One good place you can probably find deals is www.newegg.com. Hopefully this helped you.
Basically OEM is the version of Windows Microsoft sells to manufacturers for use in new computers. What that means is that it's a new install only, so back your shit up. Also it'll have less documentation. So it's a good buy if you don't mind reinstalling.
Alright, I think Ive got what I need here, thanks.
