Thanks in advance.
Is there a reason you are going with the i7 over an i5? Unless you are using applications that use hyperthreading, there isn't any reason to spend the extra 100 dollars.
Unless you are using applications that use hyperthreading, there isn't any reason to spend the extra 100 dollars.
That's the only difference between the two processors (well that and an insignificant clock difference).
O i have no idea what the difference is i just thought becuase it was more expensive that i would get it because i could afford it but an i5 is fine then. (see i dont even know the difference between i5 and i7 xD)
the i5 is a plain 4 core and the i7 is a 4 core with hyperthreading AKA 4 real cores and 4 simulated cores.
the i5 is a plain 4 core and the i7 is a 4 core with hyperthreading AKA 4 real cores and 4 simulated cores.
O okay i understand so for ths build would i want to go with i5 or i7?
What are you trying to run? 1500 dollars for a tower that only plays minecraft is more than a little excessive.
I making it futrue proof so what ever he wants.
I making it futrue proof so what ever he wants.
That's an impossibility, give me a bit to look at the build. Do you need a wireless card? 2. Do you need an SSD? 3. Do you mind if I don't use the entirety of your budget?
For his budget I'd still get a nice SSD for some storage or just as a boot drive.
For his budget I'd still get a nice SSD for some storage or just as a boot drive.
Fair enough. Add these: SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167093 ($140) Dvd: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289 ($18) Revised Total: $1024
