About a week ago I noticed my internet would randomly cut out. However, after further investigatikn, my laptop would maintain its connection to the internet, but steam, Firefox, and internet explorer fail downloads and loading pages. I suspected virus or something, so I ran a scan using AVG and Malwarebytes, finding nothing. I don't know where to go from here. What other information do you need?
What are you using to connect, modem or router wise?
It varies. This has happened at three different locations. All three are linksys, iirc.

How are you determining that your laptop still has a connection?
Try watching a ping -t
