Download a copy of FreeDOS and burn it to a CD. Unzip the BIOS Download and put it on a flash drive.
Fire up the FreeDOS live cd, plug in the USB stick. cd into it, and run the included exe file.

Can i install it to my d: drive first?
If your current BIOS has a flashing utility then you can probably just put the new BIOS file on a flash drive and use the utility.

FreeDOS? You can install it, but you don't need to. It can function as a live cd.
Can i install freedos to a hard drive and THEN flash the bios?
The readme that came with the bios file told me to use a floppy disk, so it's a bit old...

You can, but like I said you won't need to. You can put the Bios on a USB stick and install.
Just be careful when installing it. I tried installing it to a USB drive and I wiped out my Windows 7 partition. :v:
I've never worked with an MSI bios, but I looked at it, and it has a exe file.
I just updated my Gigabyte board this week, and it also used an exe, which worked fine from the Freedos live cd.
Why do you need to flash your BIOS?
-snip-
Ok, I downloaded the freedos livecd, then I tried to cd into my flash drive, but 2 problems
Because i can't see all the disks being recognized by freedos, due to it's limitations, I'm pretty sure that it's not recognizing my flash drive.
what drive is normally recognized as the flash drive? e:\?
