A Sikh shop owner in Michigan was shot in the face before being called a terrorist. The store owner was brought in a backroom by a gunman midnight Saturday at Bottlenecks Food and Drink Shop in Grand Rapids. The gunman demanded money and accused the man of being part of ISIS and was called a terrorist.
who's the terrorist here?
fight terrorism with terrorism is clearly the answer
:scream:
at least the store owner survived the ordeal. that attacker is a total scumbag
The friend of the guy who got shot doesn't seem to think it was anything more than a violent robbery. In an interview he said, "It was a random thing that happened, there was no motive behind it, just the money." (http://fox17online.com/2015/12/13/armed-robbery-turns-into-a-shooting-at-bottlenecks-in-gr/)
It looks like evidence of the racial insults is coming from an anonymous manager of the store who wasn't present during the event, and the police aren't calling it a hate crime yet. (http://fox17online.com/2015/12/14/bottleneck-ownership-says-weekend-shooting-was-a-hate-crime/)
I hope they find the attacker. He needs to face the consequences of his actions.
p.s video in source
Why did you post some random sikh source instead of the actual news report that it's based on?
I mean, not that I would doubt the guy called him a terrorist but.. Daily Sihk Updates isn't exactly a neutral source lol
Why did you post some random sikh source instead of the actual news report that it's based on?
probably because that's where he saw it initially who cares
if you want to find the original source it is linked right in there
who's the terrorist here?
Neither lol
ter·ror·ism
ˈterəˌrizəm
the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.
The pursuit of the mighty dollar is not a political aim.
:why:
never got why sikhs were always lumped in with terrorism
they're indian so like, not really associated with ISIS
never got why sikhs were always lumped in with terrorism

because they're brown and wear turbans
that's all that middle America can see

They're brown and ignorant bigots think they're those gurdamn dirty muzzies.
It's pretty damn surprising how the average American wouldn't be able to differentiate between the two religions.

is it REALLY though?
they can't seem to understand that just because obama has a mole and 'arabic' features it doesn't make him a muzzy

i mean, not everyone in middle america? good stereotypes though
AKA robbery is slanted to look like race crime to lube up people for the new wave of forced "progressivism"
I seriously doubt this was a hate crime.

"Don't shoot people while calling them ISIS"

A man robs a man.
Then takes him in the back of the store, and deliberately states the person he is robbing is a terrorist/agent of ISIS.
Then he shoots him.
How exactly is this, "not a hate crime"?
Do you have special knowledge of the assailant, such that you know he was just trying to ruse us all in to thinking he was a racist bigot who shot a man for no good reason, so that we might forget he robbed a store?
Seriously, what possible fucking angle are you working on this one.

The issue is that it isn't confirmed in any way. The only evidence of the racial aspect is a second hand report from a person who wasn't even there, and we have another second hand person saying that there wasn't any racial motivation.
Instead of waiting for more information from the actual victim and/or catching the perpetrator people are jumping on the racial bandwagon because it supports their narrative. As of now, it's being treated as normal armed robbery by the police.
It really is pathetic that something as simple as a turban, or the colour of one's skin can still motivate people to commit mindless [almost] murder in the name of a jumped conclusion (like the shop owner being a terrorist); but that is if this was truly in the name of hate crime, I mean, the attacker didn't just shoot the shop owner, he stole money too, so it's probably more than just a hate crime overall.
To have survived that encounter though, good on him [shop owner] - wishing a speedy recovery.
