So, I got watch again in 10 minutes, am I the only person who hates it with every fiber of my being?
Lets talk about types of watches here, I wanna do that. I start, im doing petty officer of the deck, I stand at a podium for a while in the middle of the night, not much else. I want to know about the types of watches there are and the qualifications, and then lets talk about how watch standing is boring in general.

We have a gatehouse so you just sit there with your laptop beside the radiator and just go out and put the barrier up and identify who is who, it's great. I watched 3 episodes of Sharpe last week from 9-6am.
Shit sucks. I'm prety sure everyone hates the watches. Atleast it doesn't suck much as being a prague guard since you can move around and try to smoke cigarettes discreetly durring the daytime. But i suppose being a prague guard has it's pros if you're allowed to scare tourists by pointing the gun at them.
I use my phone as a watch.
I usually just shove a few films on my tablet, order a pizza and I'm set for guard :v:

I have a Swiss Army watch I [del]stole[/del] liberated from my dad. Unfortunately, the water proofing is worn out, so the face is pretty badly corroded. Eventually I'm going to have to fork out some money and have it fixed.

I know how you feel. Last time I had to do ECP. I just read magazines and hit my head with a wooden stick to stay awake. I sat down and did nothing for 9 hours straight. Atleast I didn't have to clean anything though.

It was training so it wasn't real in that sense, but it they were setting up and about to fire so I had to stop what I was doing :v:
Lol navy and your watch quals. Lol at navy watches in general, they have you stand post for the stupidest shit. We've got 1 hour ID posts for the barracks and 2 24 hour posts at command and thats it (for junior enlisted)
