Can anyone recommend an application for a PC (Windows or Linux) that is similar to the "Notes" app on the iPhone? I basically need something like Windows Journal, but I want to be able to type on lined paper. Windows Journal is nice, but the text support is fucking horrible. I have tried taking notes in notepad and Word, but it just looks tacky.
Notepad, but if you don't want tacky notes then you could try a whole lot of programs such as http://www.sticky-notes.net/ or http://www.google.com/notebook
Microsoft OneNote has lines. You can do normal typing as well as handwriting
Im not sure but I think evernote has that function too (correct me if im wrong). Also it's has lots of other really useful things too, look it up.
I'd suggest Evernote.

I downloaded EverNote Portable, and it works flawlessly in Wine. Thanks guys. ^_^
