It's too late to save this game.
it kind of sounds a bit similar to Ultima's justice system.
Sounds like it lacks a lot of depth.
So what's in it for the thieves? Do they just get sick loot from random NPCs?
this sounds like a neat feature update to a game that's ongoing in an alpha/beta development process but not one that's already been out for half a year.
It's too late to save this game.
Still, the fact it got a big update means that Bethesda's supposedly sticking with it and aren't gonna abandon it to work on Fallout 4 and/or TESVI: Dominion.
I thought this was gonna be something like the Archeage court, but apparently it's more like spontaneous Capture The Flag?
Outlaws are players who steal, pickpocket and murder NPCs for loot.
Can't wait to steal some NPCs.
If the game didn't cost so goddamn much, I actually would've played it. The beta was pretty fun. I'm just not willing to shell out what they ask.

Presumably Bethesda is already working on F4 or TESVI also I don't know why people are saying "heh too late game is already over", last I heard their subscribers were pretty solid and they were doing well. They promised a feature, they're bringing it
Pickpocket and murder NPCs for loot.
Because NPCs totally have valuable loot on them.
It seems like this will just cause a bunch of chaos in towns until it eventually dies down. The outlaws will shank every non-crucial NPC repeatedly, and enforcers will be running back and forth endlessly killing what they can that happens to be doing so. By some point you'll have outlaw bots camping respawning NPCs and enforcer bots camping the camping outlaws. :v:
It's too late to save this game.
I really doubt that, if they can pull off a "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn", then they have a chance... They need the heart and soul of what is The Elder Scrolls Online... right now there is none... it feels like a generic mmorpg, and thing unique has been ever added, nothing fresh. That's the problem with the game.
I really doubt that, if they can pull off a "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn", then they have a chance....
That's a tall fucking order considering that it went back into beta and spent a lot of time making no money for itself just to make the game better. A Realm Reborn was a really unique circumstance that paid off in spades because S-E realized they have a failing game of their main franchise and they didn't want that kind of black mark on their record (as if FF XIII isn't bad enough huehuehuehue). A Realm Reborn is admirable and it worked but for a company to have that kind of care for something, especially an American one, is rare.

FF13 is probably the exception that falls under the sequel rule to.. some degree. It's their non-essential IPs that usually get the short end of the stick. Elder Scrolls Online, from what I've gathered out of things I've seen, is basically an almost soulless cash grab selling well on name alone. It's not inherently terrible, it's just not interesting or good either. With a game like that made by Zenimax themselves rather than Bethesda, you can pretty much bet they'll just add rather than go back and overhaul things. They're definitely not Blizzard, either, who went back after a number of years and used Cataclysm to rework a lot of the WoW pre-expansion content majorly.

I'm not subbed atm because I have way too much stuff going on but I really enjoyed the game

Sounds awfully alot like apb's system.
