I get essentially the same message when I try to install drivers for my sound card, which worked perfectly fine under Ubuntu. I'm not really sure if the MOBO drivers are installed or when to install them, but within windows I get the message "Access violation at address 00433D27 in module 'ASRSetup.exe'. Read of address 00000008" when attempting to install.
Did you download 32-bit? (I assume you have a 64-bit windows)
