Well I checked the xsellize repo (:ninja:) for anything interesting..and I found something interesting that I missed.
Bochs for the iPhone.
Bochs is an IA-32 (x86) emulator.
Downloaded it and tried it out. It's the real deal.
It came "bundled" with Windows 95 and Windows 3.11.
Of course, neither of them run very well on my iPhone 3G..I've heard it actually runs at a half decent speed on the 3G S though.

Kinda useless without keyboard support.
I'll try it though. :v:
Yeaaah.
Tried to boot DSL.
Can't do shit without keyboard support!
Whoop, it's doing it automatically?
It crashed!
Yeah, it goes ka-blewie when it tries to boot it. Hmm.
I'm gonna try that Android x86 LiveCD for shits and giggles.
Vista time!

o.0
Also Android-x86 failed to run.
Missing cpu extension cmov or something like that.
What else should I try?
Nothing over 1 GB in size please, I only have an 8 GB phone!
Wait, can you get a clock speed?
Wait, can you get a clock speed?
Like..display clockspeed or something? I don't quite know what you mean.
Yeah, see what clock speed Windows 95 reports.
Yeah, see what clock speed Windows 95 reports.
Pardon my stupidity..how can I do that?
Gonna take 10 mins at least for 95 to boot so take your time. :P
Okay..maybe 20.
I think the System Properties dialog exists in Windows 95.
needs moar keyboard :(

I..uh..can't seem to double click.
Can't get to it.
Fuck.
put leopard on it
put leopard on it
Too large.
Don't think it would run anyhow.
I can't see Bochs in the repo at all. Search yields no results.
Try putting settings to Hacker or dev
Plus Late News Is Late
I could just download the .deb myself and run an install with Terminal.

Leopard requires SSE2/3 and Bochs probably doesn't support either. This is still pretty cool though.
Edit: How did you get the battery percentage on your iPhone 3G on the top bar? I'd like to get that on mine if you'd care to share.
Holy snap! :o
Yeah, downloaded it, and 3.1 and 98 ran like crap.
Expected, but nice proof of concept.

SBSettings :v:
And yes I realize this has probably been floating around for a little while, but no-one on this forum seems to keep up on news..at all.
This is cool :D. Putting Android on it would be very funny.

Wouldn't have an on-screen keyboard though because it has a hardware one :downs:. :( Oh well.
