• Modern Warfare 3 to be banned in the UK?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Reveal Trailer, which shows scenes of terrorism on the London Underground, is reported to have led to calls for the game to be banned, reports the Daily Mail. The Daily Mail is comparing the London Underground scenes to the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London, with those affected unhappy about the likeness found in Activision's guaranteed smash hit. Vivienne Pattison of Mediawatch UK has "concerns" because "these games are hyper-real," adding MW3 "is in incredibly poor taste". This isn't the first time Call of Duty has skirted with controversy. Modern Warfare 2 was heavily criticised by some for its No Russian level, which allowed players to shoot civilians at an airport while taking on the role of a terrorist. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released worldwide on November 8. Daily Mail, no need to worry, no one in their right mind does anything except laugh at them.
Good, I hope it is. We don't want that thing over here.
Good, I hope it is. We don't want that thing over here.
"Oh no a game I don't like is being released, yay it might get banned! Victory!" Here's a radical idea, why not, now stick with this okay it's crazy but you'll like it. You let people, play what they want. Fucking radical right, now heres my logic, you stop spending so much time caring about games you don't like being released, and you have more energy to enjoy games you like, and everyone is happy. But hey that's just some new agey, hippy logic so fuck it.
Good, I hope it is. We don't want that thing over here.
First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

It's not like anything of value would be lost.
Strawberry jam blurring your vision whenever hit by bullets is hyper-real.
Oh god please ban it.
They wouldn't have made much sales anyway... Edit: Are kids really that dumb?
"HYPER-REAL"
Is "poor taste" really reason to ban somnething? And having familiar locations in games is harmless. It's fun, in fact - that's why people are interested in putting their schools into Counter Strike maps and whatever.
"HYPER-REAL"
Fucking hell that's a really high level of real!
And nothing of value was lost. But seriously, this ban is stupid. Poor taste is not reason to ban something.
"HYPER-REAL"
"BLOODY SCREEN, SURREAL"
If this did get banned, I bet you could hear the screams of many teenagers a mile away.
Poor taste is subjective. Stupid idiots banning shit based on opinions.
Lol, the Daily Mail.

For once, I support these guys, just so I won't have to hear about this game.
Because rumours are so often true
GOOD.
i thought we were past this 7/7 stuff i rode the train into london the next day and guess what, i could actually get a seat. in the end its another occasion where and huge minority has massive effects on the majority
One less country not affected by this cash cow, don't feel bad, be glad.
I saw part of the title on the forum index, I thought Australia was going to ban it for having something that would give kids nightmares, like blood or the word "shit".
I saw part of the title on the forum index, I thought Australia was going to ban it for having something that would give kids nightmares, like blood or the word "shit".
People don't like what the game contains = Ban it. Seriously, that's what happens all the time.
No one cares if you like or dislike Call of Duty, I know it's hard for facepunch to control that little tick that makes you want to assault your keyboard in anger because there's something you don't like and you apparently haven't developed the ability to deal with it and carry on like a grown up would. Oh and it's Daily Mail so it's a lie.
Free publicity woo. Activision knows how get people make noise from nothing

Its madness how I see more rage for lame things that could actually be avoided if gamers weren't the idiots they are and expected something huge off of a game that never really was that huge to begin with. And instead of passing by and not wasting their 60$, they do it anyway and then whine. Ontopic Another retarded reason to ban a game. Its like everyone is a baby and cries because they see something they don't like, they must have it banned right away. Freaking ridiculous. Their heartless, but in the end, they make business better then anyone else. They won't go to sleep at night thinking about gas prices...
