Possible solutions for the "no stereo mix" problem?

As you may know, several PCs nowadays don't support the "Stereo Mix" option that used to exist on previous operating systems (probably due to pressure from the music industry).
Is there any way to re-enable it, or use any kind of software that would emulate that option?
Your Audio driver probably has it disabled, when I had a Pre-built Dell Desktop, I had no Stereo mix either, I went ahead and found a guide into enabling it through a file using notepad. Then I installed it and there it was. But also if your looking to use it to route a sound to another, Use Virtual Audio Cable.

Sadly it isn't free, but a trial is there and it gets the job done(With a trial voice going every few seconds.)
And when you mean some PC's don't support, they actually do if I am correct mostly Stereo mix is just capturing your speaker sound.
