• ANTEC 300 case front panel connections to Fatal1ty Killer 900FX AM3+ motherboard?

So, I got a fancy new mobo, Fatal1ty Killer 900FX AM3+, for my new CPU but when I was making the front panel connections, for my ANTEC 300 Illusion, I couldn't seem to get it to work. I was wondering if anyone would know the proper formation for something like that? My previous motherboard used a special adapter thing that doesn't fit onto the Fatal1ty mobo, so I'm a bit confused as to what to do. I tried following the directions in the book but couldn't seem to get it right. I'm not exactly sure how to word my problem, so there was my best shot at it.
The book should say which connectors should be connected to which pins. Make sure you properly connect the +/- on the leds.

What exactly won't work?
You can make sure the motherboard even works by just jumping the power pins with a flathead

It may seem stupid, but check and see if the power supply switch is on, I don't know how many times that's gotten me
What exactly won't work?
After installing the motherboard it simply behaves as though it's not receiving any power, or isn't getting the signal from my power-button to turn on. I thought it might've been a problem with my case's wiring so I dicked around with it and wasn't able to get it to respond. Although, I'm also installing a new processor with the motherboard, and I'm not entirely sure which one is at fault with this problem.
