Gawker.com is dead and Hulk Hogan is filthy rich. The media company, recently purchased by Univision who killed its flagship site, settled with the disgraced wrestling star on Wednesday afternoon for a cool $31 million, according to court filings and former CEO Nick Denton’s blog.
and with that. gawker is dead and hogan is victorious. case closed.
That's a shame he didn't got other 109 million.

And just like that, Hulk Hogan cried himself to sleep while fondling his $31 million U.S. Dollars. The world was so cruel.
I'm sure he'll do just fine!

Disgraced? Some grainy video where you can't see anything gets Hogan 31 mil is disgraced?
I'd give a homeless dude a blow job on the corner of the street in HD for 2 mil and hold my head up high

I'm fairly sure he's disgraced because the WWE kicked him to the curb for a video emerging of him saying the n word.

I would do it for 1 million.

thats standard procedure for WWE

the company has a history of distancing itself from the negative press around it's stars, its not really unique to hogan and pretty much expected. its not so much as hogan is disgraced its more wwe as a company has a very aggressive approach to any negative press towards them as a company
also hogan will most likely be back for a special appearance in a year or two anyway

He lost all his future WWE money because of that, hence why the suit is valid

God Chris Benoit was so bizarre. They had this great tribute for him of all his best moments when he died, and then the second they found out he had killed his family before killing himself they erased him out of everything and never spoke of him again.
Comparing Hogan to Benoit is not fair. I can understand completely if WWE wants to wipe Benoit under the rug for what he did, but to completely wipe Hogan for saying a word in his own house is ridiculous.
I'm not comparing them, I'm just giving a similar case of WWE sweeping anything negative associated with them under the rug or distancing aggressively from it.
I would do it for 1 million.
i'd do it for a mcchicken

I agree that Benoit and Hogan are very different cases, but I don't see how it's ridiculous to not want your brand associated with a documented racist.

All indications point to Thiel being a real piece of shit but I'd say justice was served in this specific case.

Think he's mostly just sad Gawker couldn't lose even more money.

I know I am.
If Gawker were actually dead, it'd be great. Instead, it's worst writers still post their shit and it gets shared across the lifeboats. For whatever reason, their sports blog is now a dumping ground for political rants, and those get cross-posted to the gaming and automotive blogs with no relevant content.
