Hi there,
About a year and a half ago I bought a Compaq computer from Frys Electronics, I proceeded to buy a nice graphics card (NVIDIA 9800 GTx) and had them install it there. About 4 months after that my computer crashed and I found a nice red line going across it. When I brought it in they told me that the person who had installed the graphics card left the protective plastic on it. So they replaced it, now(3 months later) it's crashing and freezing at random, I've on had one blue screen of death so far.
Short Version:
My computer crashes and freezes at random and I've only had one blue screen of death. Does anyone know what might be going wrong?
Install latest drivers for your card, if not already...
Also, I had some similar problems with videos and youtube, amd's latest hotfix fixed it... Try finding out sth similar for your occasion.
What sort of things have you been doing before it crashes?
Video games crash after certain amount of time, I crashed on start up once, and youtube also crashes I will try the amd fix. Thank you John the g8
Edit:
Updated video drivers, it worked. I don't know why I didn't think to do this, thanks everyone!
