If I smoke weed my friends will leave me - General

Two of my friends say that I'm gonna fuck my life up if I smoke weed, and of course, they don't know nearly as much about it as I do. Facepunch, how do I get past this? They actually don't realize, any "damage" that would be done to me that involves weed, would only be a result of them leaving me.

Well if you choose weed over your friends then you deserve to fuck your life up. Friends > Drugs. Good friends will (hopefully) respect the fact you smoke weed, but if they don't, don't hold them against it, as it is there choice to be against it, just as it is your choice to smoke it.

Which apparently isn't good enough.

If they're worried that it will change you so much, prove to them that smoking doesn't change you - but beware, people change a lot naturally, and you don't want to get into the situation where people are blaming that change on weed, when actually it's just natural.

Some of my friends are OK with weed, but when they found out i wanted to try out acid, some where like "you're a dumbass". I did it anyway, with one of my other friends who was doing it as well. And the whole thing went fine, and it was the most awesome experience of my life. Heck, my friends didn't even research any drugs, so they didn't know anything, just its name.

I don't know if it was the weed or just that a few people told me that it will happen, but after my first time being high I had another image of the world. Can't describe though, would take way too long.

OP, keep it a secret for people who can't know. If you got friends who you smoke with, smoke with them, no worries. Try to get these other two friends of yours to accept it some way but my point is that, you gotta keep it as a secret for some certain people. The fact that it's a drug and it's illegal makes some people shit bricks out their ears, seriously.
