Hi everyone, I'm going to be moving back to my home area soon and won't be able to take many of my possessions with me, including my computer.
I want to buy a tablet computer so I can keep myself connected and in touch with my friends because this move is going to be about a weeks worth of travel. I've also had a tablet before but my old room mate stole it. So I know what I'm going to be in for with one.
I have a budget of $75 because that's all I have in my paypal, and I probably won't get anymore funds between now and long after the move.
I'd like a minimum of 1GB of RAM, but all of my searches come up with only 512mb.
You might be able to find a 2012 Nexus 7 second hand for that price that's probably your best bet.
You're gonna be roughing it, you'd probably be better off with a used laptop.
NextBook7 at walmart is 79.99 or it was when I bought it a few weeks ago.
Played the eBay game and got an Nexus 7 for around $100. Now I just need a small usb keyboard about the same size and I'll have a fancy pants not-laptop to take with me while I hitch hike across the country :v:

You don't really need a physical keyboard.

I honestly fail to see the point of getting a tablet at all if you're planning to use it with a physical keyboard at all time.

Unless it's an x86 Windows 8 tablet, anyways.

He already bought a nexus 7.
Indeed, bought it. Received it today. I received the wrong device, though...
Instead of getting the 16gb version of the Nexus 7 I received the 32gb version. I should totally complain about this, but I won't. :v:
I went with an android tablet because of the cost. Also I only had the option of purchasing anything online with PayPal because my bank doesn't do online transactions unless you have a $1000 checking account.
I am leaving for a 1900+ mile trip(moving) soon and wanted to have a portable device to take along with me, a miniature keyboard would go great with the tablet because pecking at the virtual keyboard is annoying when I need to write long emails or take notes.
It's not something I would use 100% of the time with the device. Now I just need to find an okay keyboard to go with it.
Also, it has a freakin' GPS. That's really, really cool.

I would try swipe on the keyboard. You pretty much just drag your finger along the keys that spell out the word you want usually it's pretty accurate.
I don't know of its on the stock keyboard but it's definitely on offical Google keyboard which you can get from the Play Store.
I haven't tried swipe yet. I haven't really played with the tablet much yet, only rooted it. I got a *BRAND NEW* Nexus 7 for $100, instead of a used one that I expected to receive. I'm afraid of soiling my precious new toy. :v:
