From wiki :
9 is an upcoming animated action/alternate history/post-apocalyptic/fantasy film directed by Shane Acker and produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, director of Wanted. It is based on Acker's Academy Award-nominated short film of the same name. Although CGI, the movie will have a stylized look resembling stop motion which Tim Burton called "hauntingly beautiful". The screenplay was written by Shane Acker, Ben Gluck, and Pamela Pettler, co-writer of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Casting for this film was done by Mindy Main, production design by Robert St. Pierre and Fred Warter, and art direction by Christophe Vacher. The film has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for violence and scary images.

9 takes place in a world parallel to our own, in which the very legacy of humanity is threatened by machines. The machines, built by a scientist to help the world recover from a previous war, rebelled and began to manufacture an army to wipe out humanity. So the same scientist creates a group of sapient rag dolls. These rag dolls, or "stitch punks" as Shane Acker calls them, live a post-apocalyptic existence and one day they find 9, one of their own.
This group of rag dolls includes 1 (Christopher Plummer) their gruff self-proclaimed leader, 2 (Martin Landau) a kindly old inventor, the silent hooded twins 3 and 4, 5 (John C. Reilly) 2's loyal apprentice, 6 (Crispin Glover) a wild, visionary artist, 7 (Jennifer Connelly) a brave female warrior, 8 (Fred Tatasciore), 1's tough but dim-witted bodyguard, and finally 9 (Elijah Wood) a brave and loyal friend who displays leadership qualities that can help them survive against the ruthless machine monsters that mercilessly hunt them down.
9 is from Tim Burton who is also the producer of Corpse Bride and older films like Batman Forever...

Hmm, so is this not going to be a PG film?
Either way, I'll see it:D

And its out in 09/09/09 ...
Drama... It hurts .
Something about this makes me hate it. Maybe it's the fact that they had to put the generic action music in a trailer for a movie about puppets.
I saw this in the previews at the movie theater. I like the dark look of it. I'll go and see it when I can
7 and 8 look like bad asses

The original, in which the film is based on.
-snip-
this actually looks pretty good
Looks like an amazing movie, but the whole nine bit seems too gimmicky.
What drugs do you think Tim Burton uses to come up with this stuff?

Something nearly as good as what ACE team ( The Makers of Zeno Clash) uses ...
Wow, this looks really nice.
I liked 5 in the original, I guess 2 will be the same character in the new one.
I'll probably see it when it hit's DVD, I don't really get to seeing these types of movies in theaters.
Seems somewhat whimsical though.
Shit man, it comes out on my birthday.
I personally don't like Tim Burton films. Ill wait till this is on dvd as well. I'm worried about him doing a Alice in Wonderland film, I think its going to become a fad thing for emo fags to go with the rest of tim burtons films.
Post the video in [hd][/hd] tags.
9? Already?
What happened to the other eight?
oh, a little big planet movie.

No u! HD is laggy!
looks retarded
This looks pretty cool.
But I give it a week after it's release to become emo kid fodder.
New trailer looks meh, but the old one was epic.

What's wrong with you? He's a fucking genius.Yeah, all his films are emo-y, but how can you not like them? Sweeney Todd is one of the best films of the century.

I fucking hate it when that happens... The same fucking thing happened in my country with a song against Internet Tards (The lyrics vere mocking twitards and facebookers) then everyone started to listen to it even tought they are twitards(Twitter) ...
I saw this preview in the theaters.
Kick ass sound track.
Wow, it comes out on my birthday.
I'm going to go and see this when it comes out. I just hope it doesn't become one of those popular emo fads though. I hate it when I get grouped with those emo/scenetards because I like one film they publicize that they love everywhere, but mostly Hot Topic.
