People who like slow, relaxing, doom ambient might enjoy this. Thoughts?
What did you use to make this?
Not bad.. Maybe add some development and layers?
Not bad.. Maybe add some development and layers?
Yeah, I'll try and put a rhythm section in somewhere. But it's not really structured, so I'll have to think of something. [editline]26th September 2011[/editline]
What did you use to make this?
Mainly audacity.. I just chuck sounds about and fiddle.
Dude, I really like this. My buddy just feel asleep on my floor, I'm burning out listening to this, it fits my situation perfectly right now. Something to cradle me in my current state of tiredness and to drift me either along sustaining my awakedness or to sleep. I would listen to entire albums of this stuff on a regular basis. As for suggestion, maybe throw some more layers in there. This kind of stuff is always more powerful when it's got a bunch more sounds just blanketing the more distant range of sound throughout. It gives it a more visceral emptiness. Then again, now I'm stepping into the realm of changing the song entirely, maybe I should try a remix, I've never really done much production in audacity but I'd like to try. Would you mind if I tried my hand at remixing this?
Go ahead, the download link is there.
I thought it was pretty nifty. I wouldn't call it relaxing, though, it's really unnerving to me.
True, the doom aspect of it is kind of "grabbing the soul out of you". Ironic that my avatar is Marvin Gaye to be honest. :]
You do this is in Audacity? How the... Akayz, how the fuck do you even manage to do this? I have to say I really like this piece as well. I don't care if it's old, I'm posting because I only now found it. I can see this easily being used in any scenario with a lot of tension in, like a horror or suspense game.

I didn't overuse the effects though, because sometimes it can get obvious.
Any plugins for audacity?
Any plugins for audacity?
No. Just standard ones. It's mostly about how you layer it rather than what effect you use.
Very creepy. I imagine this is the kind of music played when walking down a creepy corridor in scary games. It's fucking brilliant. Nice work.
