• An odd weather phenomenon.

Walking home from the bus stop a warm winter I noticed something odd. It started snowing. The reason this was odd was because the temperature was 13 degrees Celsius outside (that's 55 Fahrenheit) That's close to t-shirt warmth, and yet snowing. When I came inside I noticed the temperature was 16 degrees (60 Fahrenheit). That's comfortable. I didn't really think much about it at the time. After eating I went out a bit in my t-shirt. Other then the abnormally large snowflakes it was mostly comfortable. It felt like a cool summer night. So, what's odd here? Snow while it's warm? No wind even though cold meets hot? That the flakes were abnormally large or that the instantly meted flakes didn't leave a water trace? Everything. First time I've ever experienced anything like this. Why does this really occur? Also, I live in a southern part of Norway.
global warming
Global Warming. EDIT: Sniped, dickhead. But seriously, har det ikkje alltids vært sånn der?
Was it windy or overcast outside? Maybe looking like it was about to rain?
Overcast, close to windstill.
Al gore. Also I think it should get colder soon
Overcast, close to windstill.
Well, it could have been raining higher up, and it was just cold enough to form snow.
Well, it could have been raining higher up, and it was just cold enough to form snow.
I guess, but from what I know about weather: Shouldn't it be windy?
Since when was 13c fucking t shirt weather?
When you're used to the temperature. When it's 20-30c all summer I normally freeze in October, but then I get used to it.
You live near any lake? In Buffalo,NY, their is a little weather thing known as lake effect. Lake effect is where more moisture is gathered in the air and it begins snowing at about 40-50F
Tell me about it. All or most of the snow up in Finnmark is melted away only to freeze at night, it's a bitch going to work.
Copenhagen had a tiny bit of snow yesterday. During a whole day of the winds going at near-hurricane speeds. Strange thing was that it stopped quickly after only about 30 snowflakes. An hour after it started raining a bit. [editline]03:25PM[/editline]
When you're used to the temperature. I live in Florida. We've gotten hail when it's 90 degrees out. Weather happens.

crazy white boy
Your area was hit by an extratropical cyclone, creating the nimbostrati high enough above to freeze water and create snowflakes, but too low to form them in a normal, hexagonal and tiny way. So all that puffy white shit fell down and made people like you gasp in awe.
OP has nasty dandruff

I was thinking this too, weird as hell over here. Thunderstorm, really heavy rain...but blinding sun, blinding so bad that I could hardly drive...
Since when was 13c fucking t shirt weather?
I wear a t-shirt all of the time.
^^^ All Wrong ^^^ It's colder up in the clouds, and it's not melting by the time it reaches down below. Simple as that.
