A teenager who constantly fantasised about violence and joked about becoming a famous serial killer has told a jury of feeling "relaxed" after he brutally murdered a pensioner. He was giving evidence on Thursday at the South Australian Supreme Court trial of his friend. They were both aged 14 at the time of the killing. The accused youth has pleaded not guilty to murdering Pirjo Kemppainen, 63, at her Callington home in the Adelaide Hills early on September 11, 2010. His friend is serving a non-parole period of 15 years after previously admitting the murder. The crown has alleged that despite the accused youth being across the road when his friend murdered Ms Kemppainen, he too was guilty as he was a part of their joint plan to kill her. The friend told the jury Ms Kemppainen screamed as he repeatedly stabbed her in her laundry. He then obtained a concrete slab from outside and threw it at her head when she was on the ground. He walked back to the accused youth, who was under a tree across the road, and told him: "I have killed her, I've done it". The accused youth appeared to be scared and nearly crying, the witness said. "He was really panicking and started to freak out and stuff." But the witness said he told his friend they would get away with it. If caught "we'll plead insanity". Asked by prosecutor Adam Kimber SC how he felt after the killing, the witness replied: "relaxed".
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/2013/07/04/12/39/teenager-relaxed-about-sa-killing
