Resetting Restrictions passcode on iPhone 3Gs

Well, my mom recently gave me her iPhone, and I need to reset [I]everything.[/I] Problem is, she set the Restictions Passcode, and simply can't remember the code. I've tried her regular passcode, 0000, 1234, and 1111. None of them work. Any tips for me please?

I've never used the restriction password, but can't you restore it?

Yeah i found out how to restore it. I had to waste 77mb of my laptop's precious memory on that shitfest called iTunes to do it though...
