ok, so I'm trying to burn a demo on a disc and my computer won't recognize the discs i try. I've tried more than one I've tried a different brand also (Dynex) They are DVD - R's and I don't see why I'm having trouble, I have Vista if that helps. So anyone have any ideas.
There are a couple of brands my computer won't recognize either.
And my friend's computer wouldn't recognize a couple of brands as well.
I think it's just how the world goes, son.
Try using a reliable brand like tdk
does your CD/DVD drive support DVD-R?
Remember, there's CD +R CD -R CD +RW CD -RW, DVD +R, DVD -R. DVD +RW, DVD -RW.
I don't know why there are so many combinations, but there are.
How do I check what it supports?
Get Verbatim disks.
DVD-R isn't as good for data, (according to the dude at the radio shack like store we have here).

Either way try a DVD+R.
