Well I am looking for: A.an M4 B. under 175 dollers c.all metal if possible, at much metal as possible. I have some wiggle room but I was going to get a few addons too and a few mags, so if you could please help me. Also would it be cheaper to buy a nice plastic one and buy a metal body?
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4539 I don't know anything about the gun, but it's 170$. Some people seemed happy with it, but one guy had problems with it. Read the reviews and decide for yourself.
Well CA has a metal bodied sportline M4. It's $190 though, but my friend has one and I must say it's pretty sturdy compared to my older CA M4 proline. The only thing I hate about plastic bodies M4's are the rear upper receiver tabs. I've seen at least 3 of those break, including the ones on my E1 M16. But the G&G Combat Machine M4's seem to be an exception. It sounds like they have very durable plastic bodies. ASGI seems to swear by them and uses them as the base of their lower priced custom guns. http://www.airsoftgi.com/index.php?cPath=139_24_237 They even did a test where they dropped their G&G based custom gun, no damage at all it looks like. airsoft needs more of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XM29_OICW and this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMI_Tavor_TAR-21 thanks ender, I think I am going with a 115$ jg m4 and buy a box set of mags and some other stuff, gear mostly.
there is the Tavor
there is the Tavor
what site? and do you know how much?
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_132&products_id=5289 It ain't cheap.
but its one of the best guns on the market
I know it's one of the best guns on market today, but it's not within OP's price range is what i'm say. ;)
I've handled the Ares Tavor at AEX, and I wish I had the money to buy one. It's probably the best bullpup I've held compared to the FAMAS, AUG, L85, and Type 95. That gun is solid and insanely light. We're talking around G36C light. Almost feels like there's not even a gearbox back there. The MARS sight looks nice, but functionally a little disappointing. It's not that bright, and the dot doesn't look focused at all when you're focusing on your target. I've never had that problem with any red dot in my life. The built in laser isn't very powerful either, but it should work in dark areas or at night.
I cant wait till I get a job that pays money: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_132&products_id=5289 My current job onlys pays in food, water and shelter.
I just got a job, The interview lasted literlly about 5 seconds. I get to talk about guns all day with him and do basic things like keep stock clean up the stock area clean the oil truck. good shit like that

try a Thompson M1A1 by Cybergun....its made of mostly metal with the exception of the grip and stock (simulated wood) this gun is accurate!
Check the date. Also the OP said he wanted an M4, not a Thompson. I've held the Thompson before and I just can't get use to it. Reloading is a task in itself and the selector switches feel like they're going to snap off when you push them. Just not the gun for me.
I think we have too many M4s out there, especially at the place I go to. Try a JG Sig 552. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3984. It got good reviews. It is under $175 and works alright. It's made of polymer but the internal workings are metal as all good guns should. Works well with a Counter-Terrorist look too. Go ahead and look for an M4 if this isn't your taste though.
I was just going with a m4 because of the reliability of it, I can mount a grenade launcher and all that jazz. so yea. sorry the customs forums dissipeared and I only just today found it. :downs: I'm still looking though. I really want to get into airsoft.
Grenade launchers can be mounted onto just about any gun with a rail.
Grenade launchers can be mounted onto just about any gun with a rail.
Oh ok. I figured that but m4's are normaly cheaper and accecpt more upgrades and have more availible parts to choose from though still.
Yes they do have more parts, but cheaper, eeeehhhhh..... I bought an M4 (CA M15A4 Tac Carbine) from my friend within my first year of serious airsofting. 4 years later and I still have the same gun, and it's easily had over $1000 worth of new external parts and replacement internal parts. All of these parts make it so I can use it for CQB or woodland, but when I come right down to it, my CA G36K does it all and I've never really had to pay for any replacement internal parts or as many external parts, maybe $100 at most. I've had the M4 and G36 for close to the same amount of time, and I've spent almost 10 times as much on the M4. It's one of those weapons where you have this urge to keep buying more parts to make it feel or look good, and to stand out from the crowd, it's almost addicting, at least in my case it is. And this is coming from a guy who first started said he would never buy a M4, and that they're over used and boring. Boy did that change.
