May i suggest wearing ear plugs especially since it's fucking Noisia you're seeing
Yep. It's too painful to put them in my bad ear so I'm having to settle for cotton wool - I can't hear anything out of it anyway so it shouldn't be too bad. Got a plug for my good ear.

Good. Despite everything I really feel sorry for you, I know that you've previously been screwed over with noisia tickets (iirc?) and now you have an ear infection, it's like fate doesn't want you to see them or something :v:

Don't feel sorry for me.
I've just had the single best night of my life. (so far anyway.. I'm now going to go to belgium to see them at pukkelpop).
Martijn was DJ'ing, he absolutely SMASHED IT. Played almost all of my favourite tracks, some insane new stuff.. the mixes were incredible. Misanthrop from neosignal did an hour and a half set too, and he could not have been better. I've always liked neosignal/Phace/Misanthrop but never listened to their stuff for that long, but after hearing them in live it's changed that for me.
The venue was amazing, best sound system I've ever heard in a venue (or anywhere for that matter). Was so crisp and clean - But a lot of that was down to the individual artists. The last act (foreign concept) was good, but some of the filter use was a bit hard on the ears. Noisia, on the other hand.. I've never heard anything so perfect.
Only downside? £6 double vodka and coke. I spent a bomb.
I've saved the best for last, too. After noisia's set, my girlfriend came out of nowhere and dragged me through a little door. I found myself backstage with Martijn, one of his mates and a few other people. I had a chat about their new studio with him, told him about my music and stuff. He said something like "it sounds great man, and remember, everyone starts somewhere. We did, and so do you"
Didn't have a camera on me for a photo, but he signed a load of stuff for us.

Incredible! But Martijn's right, you just have to believe in your dreams and have confidence, and you can achieve anything! :v:
I'm making a remix of benga's Forefather for a competition :v:

Found out last month I was accepted into Peabody, Boston, and Mannes conservatories. I practically got a full scholarship to Boston, so I'll be going there this Fall. I'm pretty damn excited - I'm looking forward to getting performances of my work.
After 4 years of playing guitar and bass, I literally have no desire for covers, just original songs. I've yet to decide if that's a bad thing.

congrats. i'm guessing you're going to berklee? i'm hoping to get into there someday. #1 school at the moment.
i said no to berklee because i couldnt ever afford it
i don't think i could either, but if i could get accepted anyways, i could die a happy man.
sorta debating whether or not to even go to a music school, because it's not a very practical career. 2nd choice is law enforcement atm.
nah man
dont be a cop
congrats. i'm guessing you're going to berklee? i'm hoping to get into there someday. #1 school at the moment.
Nah, Boston Conservatory, which is literally right next to Berklee. It's classical and art-music based as opposed to Berklee's focus on jazz and modern genres of music. Berklee's awesome though, you should definitely apply.
i said no to berklee because i couldnt ever afford it
Yeah, I know that feel. I got into Peabody (my #1 choice), but it's $60,000 a year.
So guys, Joe Garston, AKA the guy who has had a no.2, a no.3 and a no.5 on the beatport official charts has requested I remix his latest single "Happy Ending" :v: I know this may seem egotistical as fuck but at this point I'm just mega excited
Anyone know of any definitively good 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapters on Amazon? All the ones I see are mixes of 5s and 1s.
Not gonna lie, I was pretty much waiting by the door for the acceptance / rejection letter. Peabody is the Hogwarts of music.

But Hogwarts isn't that expensive. I would've gotten help from the state of Maryland, but they emailed me last week to let me know that the sequestration cut their budget and they can't help new students this year. :v:
uni be too expensive brah
