• What makes a good bubbler?

So i got a pipe about 2 months ago and i smoked out of it twice. It's a really short pipe and i don't really like it. I want to get a bubbler because i have really sensitive lungs (i had severe athsma as a kid). I've never used a bubbler before but i assume they function similar to a bong. I want one that isn't too big. What features should i look out for? Apparently glass is the only way to go. Any tips would be appreciated.
what's your budget? you might also want to take a look at vaporizers.
As with any water pipe, the more diffusion the better. This means the more tiny bubbles that the bong/bubbler breaks the smoke up into the better. Not sure what your budget is but check these out. Make sure the downstem has a nice diameter so there is enough airflow throughout the piece, same goes for the carb/rush(whatever you call it). I see so many bubblers that have a pin sized carb hole that doesn't even serve any purpose. I've hit POS china bubblers that BARELY have any airflow and dont really bubble, they suck. this doesn't really apply to glass on glass bubblers, like shown above. I have also hit that grav labs, its pretty nice, but i don't really like the diagonal slits, but for 40 bucks you really cant beat it and it hits really nice. the glass is pretty thick too. Many people that don't know much about bubblers will call glass on glass bubblers "bongs" because you pull the slide.
A GonG [glass on glass] bubbler won't have any problems with the carb fyi.
yeah i know that, i wrote that just above your quote in my post. sometimes i get disorganized when i write things out.
what's your budget? you might also want to take a look at vaporizers.
i'd rather spend in the $50 range on a decent piece. most vapes i've seen cost a fortune apparently (like volcanoes). I'm looking for one in the smaller size range. Would it be smarter to get a bong or a bubbler? Bongs seem easier to clean and generally less maintenance.
good luck getting a glass bong for $50. if you want a decent one you're looking at $150 - $200 if you're buying from a headshop.
even a small one? dang. well maybe i'll get a bubbler since they seem reasonably priced.
well i meant for a ~1 - 1.5 foot one i hadn't considered small bongs. your best bet would to just look around in a headshop and haggle if you have to for a small one. it might be a better deal than one online with shipping and tax.
You're gonna want a hammer-style bubbler or a 4-8 inch bubby. if you're not trying to spend that much go for the mini's, otherwise spend 30-40 for an 8 inch on this site here http://www.afrosmoke.com/Green-Spiral-Bubbler_p_279.html
there's lots of headshops around here, i'm sure i can find one locally.
etsy artfire buy one at at store and i guarantee youre getting ripped off
what, do headshops get crazy markup on everything they sell?
Well, they just rip you off. Period. An example would be how i've seen acrlyic bongs at my headshop for 30 or bucks, but onthe internet you can find a glass one for 22 bucks. As for bubblers, I'd go with Hammer bubblers.
u gotta haggle in headshops, they dont sell pieces very often so if you know how to play your cards right you could haggle 10 to 50% off [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] like if u see a nice piece strike a conversation asking if som1 has looked @ the piece be4 or how long it has been up for display then out of the blue say some shit like 'ill take it home this instant for <X amount of bux>' [editline]8th September 2012[/editline] if u can spot design flaws such as improperly alligned percolators or shit say shit like 'the building quality isnt that so i'm not paying <X amount of money> for that'
even a small one? dang. well maybe i'll get a bubbler since they seem reasonably priced.
my buddy got a RooR bong (just the tube no downstem or slide) for 40 bucks with a case. if you can buy it used from somebody, that way you can get a good deal.

wow, problem with the pipe. man, metal pipes aren't good, I use a wood pipe made in holland it's pretty good and sweet :D
Please ignore this man That is the worst style bubbler on earth (not a hammer, the linked one)
I just linked the cheapest one on that site, in case he had a budget. he's allowed to roam 3 sites for the op. so apparently there's a headshop literally 3 minutes from my apartment. their lowest price bubbler was 45 bucks and it's pretty sturdy/good design so i got it. now i just need some greenery for this biatch
post your piece
