• Ram not running in dual channel

I know that 2 of the Rams aren't the exact same kind but they're practically the same. Is there a way to force them into dual channel? Slot 1 and 3 Slot 2 and 4 They're not the greatest but that's what i have to live with until i can get new ones. I'm using the motherboard M4A77D.
Are they actually in the paired slots? (Because one type is in slots 1 and 3 etc)
yep. 1-3 and 2-4 are pairs.
Just for my own curiosity: How do you know if they're running in dual channel or not?
CPU-Z tells you under Memory.
Wouldn't it be better if both channels were equally sized? Try putting a 1GB + 512MB sticks in each of the channels.
Figured out why it wasn't working. My 1gig sticks were physically different, but the speed was the same. I thought the speed mattered only, guess not. :\
