Think about that for a minute. From Columbine to Virginia Tech to Fort Hill to Aurora, all the shooters were either killed or apprehended on site. But the person or people responsible for shooting 19 Americans are still free. So why am I allowed to go outside? Where's the city quarantine or FBI and Homeland Security presence for this act of "terrorism"? Because this is an act of domestic terrorism right? Just because the alleged shooter was wearing a white tee and jeans does that suddenly make the shooting a gang-related affair? And we all know how irrelevant gang-related shootings are in America. The Mother's Day shooting is so irrelevant that politicians haven't even bothered to mention it to further their anti-gun agendas. If the shootings aren't even important enough for politicians to spin, then it's truly reached a black hole of irrelevance.
In all honesty, I forgot about the shooting as well, and I wasn't even aware the shooter was still at-large. I guess it goes to show how much power the media has on the American population. Update: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2013/05/16/184437804/suspect-apprehended-in-new-orleans-second-line-shooting Apparently the suspect was apprehended early this morning. I'm surprised this event wasn't a huge deal in the media.

[editline]16th May 2013[/editline] they got him a few hours ago
Wow, that is incredibly recent. But still, it didn't appear to be a big deal to most people, politicians didn't mention it, definitely a shadowed event.

[editline]16th May 2013[/editline] it's almost like getting worked up about a stabbing in detroit
ya that, and because the police didn't want to make it into another boston chase
Yeah, as soon as the police held a press conference that basically said "This isn't terrorism, it's just regular black-on-black street crime", America completely forgot about it. We only care about gun violence against white people and kids.

boston bomber, huge effort to find them shooting that purposefully put two 10 year olds in critical condition and everyone forgets n1
Wow, that is incredibly recent. Do people need to run through the streets waving their arms in the air for an event to be considered properly reported on? Furthermore, the shooter is not still at large. He was captured early this morning / late last night.
"So why am I allowed to go outside? Where's the city quarantine or FBI and Homeland Security presence for this act of "terrorism"?" this guy is pissed because he isn't having his rights forcefully stripped by the government after a shooting?
Wow, that is incredibly recent. But still, it didn't appear to be a big deal to most people, politicians didn't mention it, definitely a shadowed event.
Its not a big deal because its god damn new orleans. Their police are corrupt too
