Hello everyone, this is going to be my second built computer, so I know what I'm doing for the most part.
What I'm not so familiar with is actual parts, and components of what I should put in for an average use computer.
The reason I am planning on building an average computer like this is due to the fact of how old my laptop is getting, and it's just unbearably slow.
Basically, what I would need from this build is: Multitask, Using Spotify/iTunes, Browse the internet, Use programming IDE's(and programming in general), Using Photoshop and other photo editing software, and Video editing.
Budget: $400-$600
Programs: Sony Vegas 11, Photoshop CS6, Microsoft Visual Studio XNA 4.0, Internet browsers, Spotify/iTunes
Extra info: I'd like to be able to have two operating systems on it, one being Windows 7/8, the other being Ubuntu.
I will be using pcpartpicker.com to make the build.
Monitors, keyboards, and mice would be good suggestions, so suggest them, but do not count them towards the budget. I would like 400-500 dollars of PC components, not extra stuff like that.
I'd like built in Wi-Fi if possible.
Lastly, a different power supply would be nice.
I'M WILLING TO GO OVER BUDGET A LITTLE
Thank you for any help on making this, also sorry, I've made this thread before, but someone basically made the build for me, but I'd like it to me more so suggestions, and explanations of why so I can make it a learning experience as well. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

The FM2 A series AMD processors are really only meant for their integrated graphics performance, and you are looking for multithreaded performance with those programs. Since an i7 is way out of budget, an FX processor would probably be best.

You don't really need high performance graphics for what you're doing, so I just put in a GT 620 (extremely low end).

So that build is better for a Home computer of sorts? Obviously with the editing bits. But it is definitely better for what I'm looking for? Also, will I need to buy a NIC card, or something of the sort to have a connection to the internet? Also, I could always upgrade the graphics as well, right?
The build is optimized for those programs which rely on multithreading, and yes you could always upgrade the graphics card later (you could always upgrade anything later).
For wireless connections, you'll need something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwn881nd

Cool, thank you. I think I'll be going with your build. Thanks again for the help.
