• I need a new TI-84 Plus Silver Calculator. Best prices?
    28 replies, posted
My old one was left in either math or chemistry and stolen, though it had my name and initials all over it and under the faceplate written in ink. So I'm pissed that I lost a $100 calculator, but where is the best price for one?
Just buy a TI-83, cheaper and does the same thing.
They go for around $50-$60 on ebay, or you can ask someone who knows a guy at school who can get you one for cheap.
Just buy a TI-83, cheaper and does the same thing.
I like the TI-84 cause I can have more apps. Also I usually find my best deals at office max.
If apps aren't important just get a TI-83. Otherwise, Wal-Mart usually has them for around $100.

$129 with free shipping http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001EMM0Q/ref=asc_df_B0001EMM0Q1041123?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=googlecom09c9-20&linkCode=asn&creative=380341&creativeASIN=B0001EMM0Q What are the big draws of the Silver Edition? My friends and I get by fine with our TI-84 Pluses.
I don't need a calculator because I got all my math credits my freshman year :smug:
So did I, but I'm still going as far as my school offers (AP Calc AB).
I don't need a calculator because I got all my math credits my freshman year :smug:
Some of us go to college for math based courses. You can't earn all the math credits needed for aerospace engineering in one semester.

Ebay is your friend $65 http://cgi.ebay.com/Texas-Instruments-TI-84-Plus-Silver-Edition-TI-84-Plus_W0QQitemZ220563105933QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCalculators?hash=item335a95e88d Or I bet if you ask around at school you can find someone who stumbles upon them and maybe even get yours back.
For some reason, I absolutely love the TI-92+
I got my Ti-83 for 30$ new at Radio Shack last year, might get lucky and there will be another sell.
129$ is way to much, My TI-89 Titanium was 145$ new from Wal-Mart
129$ is way to much, My TI-89 Titanium was 145$ new from Wal-Mart
And Ti-Nspires are $140 new. The last few weeks in Trig we got to use some Ti-Nspires. They're pretty good and have a lot of shortcuts built in.
just get one of these bad boys

The Silver edition has 1.5 MB. The TI-83 has 256K. I have an 84 Plus and I have about 5 apps and 15 games on it.
The only games I have on my 84 plus are Tetris and Super Mario Bros. I might install Doom later though.
I got a TI-83 silver edition for a quarter at a garage sale :smug:
just get one of these bad boys
I use one of those, very very nice if you don't need any graphing junk. :D:D
What are the big draws of the Silver Edition? My friends and I get by fine with our TI-84 Pluses.
Looks better, faster CPU, and more RAM and EEPROM space
Just buy a TI-83, cheaper and does the same thing.
Yeah and about 1/16th the performance, do the math. =why I own a TI-89 Tit.
Check pawn shops, especially ones near schools. You're probably going to buy one that was stolen from someone, but you will find TI-83's for about 20 to 30 bucks and if you're lucky a TI-84 for maybe 40 or 50.
