Did the GFWL marketplace copies redeem on Steam to begin with?
If not, I don't really see an issue with it not transferring to Steam.
Why do news websites always insist on using beta photos for games?
Or is the multiplayer fucked? If so, then I do have a problem with it.
oops I was hoping I was fast enough to merge
Why do news websites always insist on using beta photos for games?
They probably fill a folder with a token amount as soon as possible and leave it at that. Beta photos come up first and are cleared as far as copyright goes.
Sweet.
internally hopes they'll merge both games into one
So if I owned DR 2 and off the record on steam before this am I fucked? I had to stop playing back when I got it because GFWL was such a stinking piece of shit and I was hoping I'd be able to actually play once it was removed.

Doesn't seem like it, according to the article you're only fucked if you bought it directly from GFWL. Don't know if the saves will be preserved though.
dr2 is a joke port
it's actually pretty funny that it doesn't have controller support too. When I started using controllers I gleefully reinstalled it, only to find out, NO, FUCK YOU, DOESN'T WORK.

You think this is bad?
Metal Gear Solid: Integral. Trying to play MGS1 without a controller is hell.

I second that with Fable: The Lost Chapters PC
Huh, I tried using my DR2 product key but no dice.
Just keeps saying "Invalid Product Code". I tried every variation I could think of (with dashes, with spaces instead of dashes, no spaces or dashes, lowercase).
Am I missing something or has Capcom (as usual) fucked up?

I haven't seen time on the article. I had a feeling this would happen so I'm just going to wait until tomorrow.
Two major issues:
-Can't co-op. At all. I get stuck on the "searching for a game" or "attempting to join game" screens.
-Frank stops running every 5 steps if you use a keyboard.

That's really bothersome. I was all prepared to mess around with a mod I'd been making but that is just too damn annoying.

Yeah I'm pretty sure every GFWL game supports controllers (atleast 360 wired/wireless ones).

actually, I was using a wii u pro controller with xinput (xbox controller protocols, works exactly as any other xbox controller), and even tested xbox 360 and xbone controllers both, none of those worked. Checking settings didn't help me either.
the game is really fucking weird with a lot of things on PC, maybe they patched it since then, who knows

i'm pretty sure i'm talking about dead rising 2 considering that this is a thread about dead rising 2

i played for 21 hours less than 6 months ago so i'm pretty sure i would have remembered if used a controller. a ps3 pad, too.

such a smart ass about it, I asked because I didn't see it in your game list and would've asked how you got it to work
the game is really messy. First install and I got less than 5 fps in a building up until it magically seemed to work again, lots of things seem to be funky with the port
I blame gfwl for that though

oops, sorry about that i thought you were being a meanie too
last time i played I used DS3 tool + my PS3 pad and it saw it perfectly, but i'm sure it works with the xinput wrapper just as well.
but one of my friends tried the exact same method with the exact same controller and it didn't work it all.
the best method to get it to work for sure is to pray that the game arbitrarily decides to like you

I dunno if this was a while ago or not, but get that shit off your PC now and remove the drivers. It's Chinese Adware (and can be even more destructive, it can even hijack your USB ports).

Yeah, for sure. It's the worst program ever and I really regret having it installed before.
My old HDD died so I went with the xinput wrapper on my new install of windows and wow, it's infinitely better because it sees your controller as soon as you plug it in, no bullshit profiles or anything required.
